1. Basic Core Principles

Plastic thermoforming is the process of heating plastic sheets to a softened and plastic state, using air pressure, vacuum, and mold pressure to stretch and bond the molds, cooling and shaping them, and then cutting the finished products. It belongs to the secondary molding process of thermoplastic plastics, and the raw materials are mostly PET, PP, PVC, and PS sheets. It is commonly used for vacuum forming packaging boxes, trays, disposable lunch boxes, and plastic shells.

The entire equipment is divided into five core processes, which operate in a coherent and automated manner:
1. Sheet unwinding and conveying
The roll plastic sheet is installed on the feeding rack, and the servo motor uniformly transports the sheet. After passing through the correction device to ensure smooth feeding, it is sent to the heating station.

2. Heating softening (key step)
The upper and lower infrared heating plates are divided into zones for temperature control, accurately baking plastic sheets.
Different material settings correspond to different temperatures, allowing the sheet to be uniformly heated, softened, and ductile without melting or burning through; The temperature control accuracy directly determines the uniformity of the thickness of the finished product.

3. Forming adsorption/stamping
The softened sheet is moved to the mold station and divided into two mainstream forming methods:

Vacuum vacuum forming (negative pressure forming)
The dense small holes on the bottom plate of the mold are vacuumed, and the upper part of the sheet is subjected to normal pressure and negative pressure to tightly adhere the film to the surface of the mold, forming the corresponding contour of the mold;

Positive pressure+vacuum composite molding
High pressure blowing from above and simultaneous vacuuming from below, with bidirectional force, suitable for deep cavities, uniform wall thickness, high-precision products (electronic trays, thick walled packaging).
Some models are equipped with mechanical molded frames to assist in stretching, reducing product thinning and hole defects caused by stretching.
